1. Who this policy applies to

StoreBrief is an operations platform for business owners and their authorised team members. This policy applies when you visit StoreBrief, create an account, join a business, submit information or contact us. StoreBrief is operated from South Australia, Australia.

2. Information we collect

• Account information such as your name, email address, authentication details and role.
• Business information such as business and location names, targets, shift reports, sales figures, costs, tasks, issues, notes and team invitations.
• Service information such as activity history, correction records, feedback and basic technical or security information created when the service is used.
• Billing information when paid subscriptions open. Payment card details will be handled by our payment provider rather than stored directly by StoreBrief.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure StoreBrief, separate each business’s records, calculate performance summaries, support owner and manager workflows, respond to requests, improve the product, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal or business information.

4. Service providers and disclosure

We may disclose information to service providers that help us host, secure and operate StoreBrief, including cloud hosting, database, authentication, email and payment providers. These providers may process information in Australia or overseas under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business restructure with appropriate safeguards.

5. Business access and responsibility

Business owners control who they invite and which locations team members can access. Authorised users may see operational information belonging to their business. Account holders should only enter information they are authorised to share and must keep their login secure.

6. Storage, security and retention

StoreBrief uses access controls, authenticated accounts and business-level separation designed to protect stored information. No online system is completely risk-free. We retain information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed for service, security, dispute and legal purposes. Information may remain temporarily in protected backups after deletion.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You can correct many account and business records inside StoreBrief. Owners can export report data and submit an account and business-data deletion request from Settings. Requests are reviewed before deletion to prevent accidental loss of a business’s records and team access. You may also use in-app Feedback for a privacy request or complaint.

8. Cookies and local storage

StoreBrief may use essential cookies or browser storage for authentication, security and product functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

StoreBrief is a business service and is not intended for children under 18. Do not create an account for a child or submit a child’s personal information.

10. Changes and questions

We may update this policy as StoreBrief develops. The effective date above will change when material updates are published. Questions, access requests or complaints can be submitted through the Feedback control inside StoreBrief.
